"A Tibetan monkster at Sera Mey monastery in a
settlement called Ballyekuppe. I taught those eager little Buddhists to
play in December... who knows, by now they may have an inter-monastery
league with robes flying, monks going horizontal and "spirit of the
game" taking on a whole new meaning!" Alon Sagee

"Glad you enjoyed the pics. Here is one of me (looking a bit exhausted) between two lamas.
This episode is part of a book I'm writing on my adventures in Asia
over six months last year. These shots were taken in December 2002 at
the monastery I was staying at for 8 days. The disk was being tossed a
few hundred feet away from where the Dalai Lama was staying (I was
hoping he would look out his window, get all intrigued, and come learn
how to launch a powerful yet meditative hammer to his fellow lamas)."
"This stay in Ballyekuppe was the highlight of my trip. I was there to
deliver a letter to his Holiness, which was not easy, at all." Alon Sagee
